At Orchidzone, we offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders, all across India โ€” no minimum order value, no hidden charges. Every plant and orchid is carefully packed and shipped to your doorstep at no extra cost.

Order Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 1โ€“2 business days after payment confirmation
  • Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays will be processed on the next business day
  • Once processed, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details
  • Plants are carefully inspected, watered, and hand-packed before dispatch โ€” we never ship stressed plants

After dispatch, estimated delivery time is 3โ€“5 business days across most locations in India:

  • Metro cities (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune) โ€” 3โ€“4 business days
  • Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities โ€” 4โ€“5 business days
  • Remote areas & North-East โ€” 5โ€“7 business days

Where We Ship

We currently deliver to most PIN codes across India. To check if we deliver to your area, simply enter your PIN code at checkout.

We do not currently ship internationally due to live plant import restrictions and quarantine regulations across countries.

Restricted Areas: Some remote regions, military zones, and PIN codes with courier restrictions may be temporarily unavailable. If your area is not serviceable, we will notify you and process a full refund within 5โ€“7 business days.

How We Pack Live Plants

Every Orchidzone plant is packed with extra care to survive the journey:

  • Root ball wrapped in moist sphagnum moss or coco peat
  • Leaves secured with soft tissue and bubble wrap
  • Sturdy ventilated box for proper airflow
  • "Live Plant โ€” Handle with Care" stickers on every package
  • Fragile and This Side Up indicators clearly marked
  • Eco-friendly packaging wherever possible

We ship via trusted courier partners including Delhivery, BlueDart, DTDC, Shiprocket, India Post, and other regional partners โ€” selected based on your location for the fastest, safest delivery of live plants.

Once your order is dispatched:

  • You'll receive a tracking number via email and SMS
  • Track your package directly through the courier partner's website or our order page

Best Practices for Receiving Plants

For the healthiest plant delivery, we recommend:

  • Avoid ordering right before long weekends or public holidays โ€” plants in transit too long can experience stress
  • Be available to receive the package on the expected delivery day
  • Unbox immediately upon delivery and record your uncut unboxing video (required for any damage claims โ€” see our Refund & Replacement Policy)
  • Place the plant in indirect sunlight and let it acclimatise for 2โ€“3 days before repotting

Failed Delivery / Address Issues

If a delivery fails because:

  • The address is incomplete or incorrect
  • The recipient is unavailable after 2โ€“3 delivery attempts
  • The customer refuses delivery without valid reason

The package will be returned to us, and re-shipping charges may apply for a second attempt. In some cases, the order may be cancelled with a partial refund (excluding the original shipping cost we covered).

Please ensure your address, PIN code, and phone number are accurate at checkout.

Weather & Seasonal Considerations

Live plants are sensitive to extreme weather. We may pause shipping or delay dispatch during:

  • Heatwaves (above 40ยฐC in your destination region)
  • Heavy monsoon flooding
  • Extreme cold spells in northern regions
  • Cyclones or natural disasters

We'll notify you by email if your order is delayed due to weather. Your plant's safety always comes first โ€” a one-day delay is better than a damaged plant.

Multiple Items in One Order

If you order multiple plants:

  • All items will typically ship in one consolidated package (or multiple packages if size requires)
  • You'll receive separate tracking for each package if split
  • All shipments remain free of charge
